Nice old car.. Not perfect in any way, but alot of fun to own and drive. I have owned it for a while, and really have not done anything to it other than drive it and have fun. It is not a show car, or a 100 point resto show car, but just a cool old car.
The body is rust free, but not dent free. It was a western car, and garage kept. the down side to it being garage kept, is that it must have scraped the garage door opening a few times, and the repair is not the greatest. It looks like it was repainted a few years ago, and looks great from 10 feet away.
The interior is pretty good too. The seats were reupholstered, the headliner is perfect, the door panels are pretty good, and the carpet is OK. The chrome is all there, and presentable.
The engine compartment is complete, and pretty clean. The car starts up every time, never even needs a charge after sitting for a while.
The floors and frame are rust free and perfect. The only hole anywhere is a small hole in one of the rear bumperetts, where the exhaust would come through.
It is missing one cadillac scrpit on the trunk, and two small crests on the fins.
I bought this car to restore (because it is complete and rust free, it would be an easy restoration), but it was a little too good for me to tear it apart, so i just used it the way it was, and had a great time with it.
The car drives really well, (if you are familiar with cars on bias ply tires), and is really reliable. All of the lights work, the radio and speedo do not work.. the trans is good, the engine runs good, has a small exhaust leak, but not too bad.
I have a few cars that are high level show cars, but this one is the most fun, because i can be a little more carefree when i use it. Even with its flaws, it gets less criticism than my show cars..People just really seem to get it, and like it. Its like a time machine, because when you drive it, you still feel like you are in an old car.
For a cruiser, this car has to be the biggest bang for the buck!! ASKING $15,000
