Composite headlights have been fitted to the fenders. the original bucket style headlights looked a bit "dumptruckish". The housings that have been fabricated and added to the fenders, run into the horizontal line that has always been there from the factory. Now the line starts in the middle of the door and ends at the top of the headlight. this gives purpose the the line that went nowhere.
